Seeking a culinary escape without leaving Johor Bahru? Look no further than Sweetwater Mediterranean Bar & Grill, a sun-drenched haven where fresh seafood, vibrant spices, and coastal vibes collide. Whether you crave the bold flavors of Spain, the rustic charm of Italy, or the laid-back elegance of Greece, Sweetwater’s menu is a passport to your Mediterranean dreams.
Feast on the Bounty of the Sea: Dive into a bounty of ocean delights with Sweetwater’s exquisitely prepared seafood dishes. Savor succulent grilled prawns, infused with smoky char and a hint of garlic. Sink your teeth into pan-seared scallops, caramelized to perfection and swimming in a buttery lemon sauce. And for a real feast fit for a king (or queen), indulge in the Mediterranean Seafood Paella, a vibrant symphony of mussels, clams, prawns, and squid dancing in a saffron-infused rice.
Beyond the Sea: While seafood takes center stage, landlubbers won’t be left wanting. Tender lamb skewers marinated in aromatic Mediterranean herbs promise a burst of flavor in every bite. Vegetarians will rejoice in the Roasted Vegetable Medley, a colorful canvas of grilled eggplant, zucchini, and peppers drizzled with olive oil and fresh herbs. And for a comforting classic, the Spaghetti Carbonara delivers creamy perfection, each strand coated in a decadent sauce of cheese, bacon, and egg yolk.
Cocktails & Convivial Breezes: No Mediterranean escape is complete without a refreshing libation. Sweetwater’s cocktails are crafted with passion, infused with exotic fruits and herbs. Sip on a Sangria infused with local fruits or a Spiced Margarita that packs a punch. Take your drink outdoors and bask in the sun-drenched terrace, where vibrant bougainvillea and gentle breezes transport you to a seaside haven.

3 months agoAstronomical food. Best carpaccio tenderloin and mushroom soup I have ever had. Been eating here for 10 years and nothing has changed . Definitely worth every penny although it’s considered high price for western restaurant.

5 months agoProbably the nicest restaurant I have been to so far in JB.Aesthetically, amazing place, good ambience.Food wise, the smoked wagyu duck taste awesome. We thought that we were having steak. That’s how good it was.Staffs are friendly and handled a ‘situation’ in the restaurant while we were dining well. Two thumbs up. Will return

5 months agoFood is superb. The focaccia bread served before the meal was one of the nicest breads I ever had. Chef is really good, we requested to switch the king prawns to beef for the parpadelle and he obliged… and he did it to perfection! Rm 98Forgot to take pics of the parpadelle so what you see here is just the caeser salad Rm48We were told that they have 2 course set lunch at Rm45++ and 3 course set lunch at Rm55++ from 11am to 4pm. Will check that out one day. Lovely fine dining place.

6 months agoWe had flank steak and aglio olio, they were great! The steak has some char on the outside, while being perfectly medium rare on the inside. Tiramisu and lemon tart were great too!The staff were really nice too. I was having a cough while I was eating, the staff served me a cup of plain water without asking. That was a really sweet gesture. The restaurant is cozy, toilet is clean.Seems like they will change the lunch course menu every few days. I will definitely be back for more.
