Sushi Shin – Omakase in Johor bahru

Came for lunch after viewing the google reviews and menu, wanted to try dinner but they do not have ala carte menu like lunch. Overall experience for those who didn’t try Omakase and those pricey seafood, good price tag to try it all. Had the RM468++ course and Ala carte A5 Waygu steak. Course include: -marinated Salmon cubes on a thin waffle cup sitting on perilla leave topped with tobiko -sashimi decorated with edible wild flower(chrysanthemums and Radish Microgreen) pair with freshly grinned wasabi and chopped wasabi stem -9 types of seafood sushi. Worth mentioning: *Sea Eel (the texture melts and is definitely not your usual unagi, it’s called Anago. ) *cut of Tuna between Chutoro and Otoro (which I define it through the distinct amount of fats distributed between both where it give the special sense to the tongue in terms of the time it melts different) Highlight was the Flounder Fish sushi. It was well prepared and with the torch of flame, it brings the taste to another level. -Chawamushi topped with goose liver -Fish broth white Miso soup -Fresh melon, Peach Mochi and Black Sesame Ice creamVerdict for foodies who had the freshest Uni, Caviar, Otoro, Sashimi slice, goose liver, Waygu, If you are expecting more for this, suggest to skip. If yet to try the above, is a good entry price to try it all.

I recently dined at Sushi Shin JB and was thoroughly impressed by both the service and the food. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. As for the food, each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the attention to detail in every bite was evident. I particularly enjoyed [mention standout dish here]. Exquisite Omakase! Every course a masterpiece - fresh, innovative & delicious. Presentation stunning! Wagyu main good, but slightly overshadowed by earlier courses. Attentive service, fantastic experience!

Went for their lunch and had the Tsuki Omakase. Was impressed by the creativity of the chef and all of the dishes were full of different flavours that blend with one another. Sashimi was fresh, and the yuzu sorbet dessert provided a refreshing end to the meal. Will be back again for more!

Sure, not every dish was perfect as few had fishy taste, but the rest were executed pretty much flawlessly. Chef was generous on uni and caviarIn conjunction with CNY, the complimentary yu sheng was also delicious and refreshing. Towards the end, surprised by complimentary birthday cake 🥺Shiok rating 10/10, might even be the best omakase I've had so far
