Sushi Shin – Omakase in Johor bahru

Absolutely love my dining experience at Sushi Shin! Ordered the omakase set lunch. Chef was engaging and friendly. Food is tasty. Service here is superb! They are very attentive and are always standing nearby ready to help you. Am totally blown away by the service provided by the staff here! From bringing the plates down from the platform, opening the toilet door, to pushing in your chair! Thank you to all the staff at Sushi Shin for making my dining experience here such a pleasant one and making me feel like a VIP!

We randomly ended up in this sushi bar, although it's better to book places in advance. But we were lucky, and they found two seats for us. The dishes were exquisitely prepared. The sushi chefs work like jewelers, doing their job very meticulously. We ordered a set for 488, and it turned more than expected. But the main thing was that each new dish brought a new taste, and it felt like a long journey. We especially enjoyed watching the preparation process. It was a bit hipnotizing. I definitely recommend this place for a date, a place where you can impress friends or partners.

Went here for a birthday celebration. Had the RMB1288++ set. The food is great, and the service is fantastic. It checks out all the boxes except "value for money." Comparing it to Japan and Singapore, the price is a little too steep. Can reduce or remove 1 or 2 dishes, too. It's really filling. Fish is really fresh. Had a little surprise element and fresh fruits is a great touch. Won't recommend for children and people who don't like raw food.

The chef really knows his stuff, and you can see the passion in every dish. Plus, the vibe is cozy, perfect for a nice dinner. Service also damn good, very friendly! Overall, a fantastic place to treat yourself to some awesome sushi. Highly recommend!

Great attentive and professional service! Really fresh sashimi, and beautiful plating. Be in for a treat for your senses: perilla flower soy sauce, fresh uni (the more expensive lunch set) and more. One small minor discomfort personally was the appetiser served, as someone who wasn’t used to eating snails, when the first dish/appetiser was served, it was quite intimidating to see the snail served up to me. But that’s on me for not stating that I don’t eat snails at the start when Chef Sam and his team asked me. So pro tip, remember to state upfront your dietary requirements/preference. Let’s just say, thank god for the fresh ginger!!Other that that, this was a real fancy experience with Dior plates too Thank you for organising a small surprise for the birthday boy. :)
