very nice and big buffet spread. came on Saturday night for dinner, there’s a lot of people dining in here. The food is really good. However for the satay , it’s always finished very fast. Went to the buffet to check 5 times but always finished . I saw the chef grilling the satays but whenever I go it’s finished . Only managed to eat 2 sticks at around 915pm which is really sad. The service was superb. They were really fast in clearing and helpful. There is always smile on the staff faces . I would say the buffet here is better than the buffets in Singapore. I will definitely come back again !! But pls cook more satay to cater to the customers

We are really delighted with all of the staff, especially Hafi. She was really approachable and helpful. It was our first time at the buffet dinner. She ensures that we have a nice dining experience. The next morning, we had breakfast. She remembers us and approaches us with a cheerful attitude. She brightened our day, and as a result, we felt truly welcome. Kudos for her outstanding customer service.

My first experience at Makan Place Hilton was a disappointment. We went for the weekday buffet dinner which was a big disappointment. Do take into consideration that the restaurant was half empty. Let's start off with the cold seafood which wasn’t fresh. The choices were limited too and it wasn’t appetising. Going to the Chinese section, the selection of dim sum especially the pau was rock hard and wasn’t edible. The curry noodles were also served lukewarm and not hot. From this section, only the siew Mai and fried rice tasted decent. The Malay section didn’t fair any better, with much of the food being lukewarm or hard and cold. The only fresh item that was constantly being cooked was the satay, which wasn’t too bad but unfortunately the chef that was grilling it screwed up a number of pieces, making some of those burnt. For the Indian section, the bread was sitting out long and it was hard and stale. The chicken didn’t taste good either and it was a big disappointment. Drinks wise they had three different cold drinks which the water tasted best. For the desert section, it was probably the best among all but would consider it as acceptable and not fantastic. The ice cream chiller was probably not cold enough and the ice cream was semi-soft. Cakes were all generally sweet and it will suit you if you have a sweet tooth. Overall, the ambience and service was good but the main highlight which is the food was a big disappointment. Considering the price, I would recommend to go over to Amari’s buffet instead which has more value for money. One thing that needs a big improvement is the freshness of the food served and taste. I would not recommend the food here until they make an improvement to their quality.

Quite a large collection but the taste of most of the food was mediocre. Some items like the oysters weren’t fresh, the plates weren’t washed clean with visible smudges. Cakes and kuehs all tasted cheap. Overall a bad experience and I suggest the hotel to give this restaurant a revamp. Only saving grace was that the spread was decently large but quality wasn’t there.

Had our lunch buffet. Made reservation. When we arrived, restaurant was empty just for 2 of us. Set up and food display is very nice. Spacious and seating area is arrange neatly. Many food counter such as noodle station, dim sum, chinese style food, nyonya dishes, malay foods, satay, western and indian counter. Lastly the dessert counter. Ice cream was a ready scoop and straight to the bowl. All served by their staffs. Service staffs very friendly and smiley. Thank you to Noraini and Wai Wai for their superb service. Empty plates was cleared fast. 1 thing i observed was that staff was not having glove on while handling dessert behind counter. She use bare hand while handling chocolates mould. Others than that i will definitely come back with my friends and family. I stayed here before the covid period.
