Don’t be mistake that this is a Malay restaurant! It is fully Chinese with extremely good food! Highly recommended the salted egg mantis prawn, must try the chicken (although they run out of the herbal chicken). The steam chicken comes with very good ginger sauce. The simple fried sweet potatoes leave come with ample of wok hey and good garlic taste not to mention the crispy calamari.
5 star food in Kuantan. Oh make reservations, it is packed all the time.
A very popular restaurant in Kuantan. However the kitchen churns out the food at an unbelievable speed. We hadn’t even washed our hands and served the tea when the first dish reached the table. I’ve never said this before but perhaps the food came too fast! Lol!The food was generally good but a bit heavy on the salt and MSG. The food - Herbal/ Beggar’s Chicken (foil wrapped-highly recommended); Taufoo with minced pork; Pork Ribs in Yam Basket; Spring Roll (highly recommended; Kangkong with Belacan.Be prepared for a busy and noisy atmosphere and likely somewhat stuffy feel. Prices are quite reasonable.
We arrived around 5pm, but the beggar’s chicken was already sold out. The food was just average, which was below our expectations, considering the numerous good reviews on Google. Both of the dishes we ordered were very greasy. However, the most frustrating thing was the middle-aged Chinese lady working there. I'm not sure if she is one of the shop owners or just an employee. She showed very unprofessional behavior and had a bad attitude when we asked her to help us follow up on the missing beverage order; she simply answered, "I don't know." Later on, we observed her providing poor service to other customers as well. Please stay home if you also don't know how to behave professionally.
Good food, affordable price and the service is fast. Our favourite dining whenever me and my husband come to kuantan. We ordered 4 dishes 1 fried rice and pay rm92. Satisfying meal.
Food was served very quickly even though the restaurant was crowded. Delicious to all dishes we ordered. Herbal chicken, sweet potato leaves and prawns in Portugese sauce. The vegetable was only RM7 and we can never get this price at major cities in Malaysia. Chicken was so tender and the prawns were fresh and the sauce tasted a little sour.On the down side, the restaurant was a little run down and the washroom turned down the mood a little bit.Overall a very satisfied dinner with my wife and this was our first time here and it was lucky we picked the right choice.
