The food here is tasty and reasonably priced. However, the hygiene could use some improvement. It can get quite crowded on weekends and public holidays, making parking a bit of a challenge.
arrived at around 8.30 pm. was fairly busy but could find a table for 5. was wishing to get the beggar chicken but they ran out and of course we did not reserve in advance. place is fairly clean, food taste was good but nothing spectacular. we tried chili crab, baby beans in salted shrimp, ekobar in dried chili, and sizzling plate homemade beancurd with chicken slices which we all found to be salty. one thing i wished they had the hot bun to dip into chili crab. they gave some common bread instead
First time trying here despite coming to Kuantan for so many times hahaCame here at 6.15pm during weekends and the seats inside are fully occupied/booked and luckily there are few tables left outside which located across the walkway of other closed stores beside it lolThings that I've to applaud them would be their flash speed in delivering out our order despite the crowd they are having....that is insanely fast lol....never really expect this!Food wise I feel it is just normal and nothing exceptional that surprise my tastebud. Out of all the dishes we ordered, 2 that stands out would be the beggar chicken (RM40) in herbal broth and the meat is soft which suitable for all ages to eat. Another one would be the salted egg squid fritter (RM38), evenly battered with well balanced sauce coating together with some bitter gourd in it.It is a good experience for me to try once which is enough for now haha, price is quite reasonable as well ;)Do take note that they only accept cash or duitnow QR, hope they can adopt credit/debit card in the future as well
Used to be the best place for dinner in Kuantan but food quality has deteriorated recently. Too salty and poorly prepared. Also not that cheap anymore. A coconut cost RM6. Rip off. Won't be going back there anytime soon.
Overall a value for money place to eat. We came here 2 days in a row for dinner. The seafood were so so fresh. On our second dinner, we ordered the signature praw and 2 crabs, vegetables, tofu and red fish and the total bill was around RM250. Crab was RM60 per piece. The uncle who took our order was very friendly and would stop us from ordering too much. Thank you for that. Food portion was really big. Special note on toilet, I didn't use it but my friend did and she said it was in bad condition. Maybe the owner can try to improve the hygiene on that.
