The cafe experience is one of the central fabrics of life of the European society. From past to present, cafes in Italy, France, Spain, Austria and the former Yugoslavian states have been playing their roles as meeting places for the communities that surround them.

This idea of cafe and cafe life immigrated to Australia and New Zealand after World War II. Many of the immigrants arrived at their new countries only to find that cafe culture (as we know it today) did not exist! Rather than wallowing in despair, the new Aussies and Kiwis set about building a new bred of cafes.

Antipodean Cafe takes its very soul from the cafes that have gone before it, not only in the Antipodes, but also in Europe. The goal is to create a meeting place, a central spot where expatriates and locals can meet, chat, gossip, romance and chill out over a cup of excellent coffee and a plate of good tucker. Other than providing a great cafe experience, we took it upon us to ensure the cafe culture will continue to flourish with the times.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I had an outstanding dining experience! The service was exceptional, with attentive waitstaff who clearly pay attention to detail. They were cheerful and went above and beyond my expectations. ❤️A big shoutout to all the lovely waitresses!📍Food The menu offered a fantastic variety of Kiwi-style dishes. We ordered:- Avocado Toast with salmon - Pasta - Ginger Slice/crunch (a delightful surprise!)The taste and presentation of the hot foods were amazing. The ginger slice was a bit less gingery and slightly firmer than what I’m used to, but I thoroughly enjoyed it—especially considering I was in Malaysia!📍Beverages- The draft beers were fresh and cold. - The coffee was also very much in line with the Kiwi style.📍ConclusionWe will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!

The staff here are really nice and welcoming and they have written the whole menu on their wall, which is quite cool, but there's also an option to view the menu via QR code.Ordered a quinoa mixed salad and scrambled egg with asparagus and bacon after browsing for a long time, simply too many options and so hard to decide because everything sounds good. Both dishes were enjoyable, the mixed salad is refreshing and i do like how colorful it is, making it look yummy. I like the toasted bread with scrambled egg, it has a crispy texture which is a contrast from fluffy eggs. The cafe seems to always have an oily smells from the kitchen at the back, not the most comfortable if you hang out for too long, but otherwise, the ambiance is quite nice.

Sitting down here on that windless night and talking to my friend is a reminder of a good night. The tamarind based cocktail was just the right umami for the taste buds and my burger had an adorable balloon thing attached to it (never seen it before). Also that burger was good. The meat was as expected. I'd like to try more drinks one day, maybe I might try out another branch.
