If you're looking for delicious and authentic Chinese food in Penang, Teksen Restaurant is a must-visit. This popular eatery is well-known for its flavorful dishes, fresh ingredients, and reasonable prices. Their signature double-roasted pork with chili padi is a standout, alongside other favorites like tofu with minced meat. However, be prepared for a wait—Teksen is incredibly popular, and queues of up to an hour are common, especially during peak hours. If you don’t want to wait, making an advanced booking is highly recommended.Overall, Teksen delivers an excellent dining experience with quality food at fair prices. Just come early or plan ahead to avoid the long queue!

Most popular restaurant on the block. The queue was quite long. Better prepare. The food was comforting and full of taste. Its cooked well. The price also reasonable with that worth. Will comeback to taste another menu

A delightful dinner at this hugely popular restaurant.Reach here 8 min after the opening time and there’s alrdy a queue forming outside. Queued for 40min to get seated down but food arrived soon after.Didn’t managed to order most of the recommended dishes as they are spicy and not suitable for children.Love 7 dishes out of the 9 we ordered ! The dishes were so flavourful, the fussy kids finished their rice !Would love to visit again ~Advise to come early as waiting time to get a seat is long

Had an excellent lunch here on a Sunday. Arrived at around 1.45pm so there wasn't really any queue and we were shown to our table in about 5 minutes. Food served rather quickly too. We totally enjoyed each of the dishes that we ordered and now I understand why they were so popular. Had the bitter gourd egg, belachan fried chicken (which wasn't spicy by the way), assam stingray and salt&pepper squid. Priced quite reasonably too. Will definitely return to try other dishes.

This had a long queue, presumably famous amongst the locals and tourists from China, not to mention, it is Michelin rated. I ordered the fried chicken and prawns dish (forgotten what it's called, it was the first menu item). Though there was a queue, the food was good none the less.
