Thinking this kopitiam in Ipoh old town… so many good reviews… BUT… Cham was too expensive! RM5.20 a glass! It tasted like more kopi. Wanton noodle soup and dry wonton mee were below average! Don’t go here. You will thanks me later.

Food: 3/5 Ordered iced coffee, iced coffee kosong and iced coffee O kosong. Coffees were great tbh. Food wise, not so much. None of the food were nice - had the Chee Cheong fun, fried mee and kaya butter toast. Chee Cheong fun was overly cooked so the Cheong fun was mushy. Fried mee was too wet without wokhei. Toast was soft like as if it was left out for a while after toasting it.Service: 3/5 Very busy place on a Sunday morning so finding a spot to sit was difficult. Because of the busyness, the service staff and 老闆娘 were on edge as well lol. A male service staff was even insistent of the fact I ordered a coffee hot when I repeatedly mentioned cold. Obviously no apology was given but instead attitude was shown.Atmosphere: 3/5 Hot but not unbearable. The place is slightly rundown with walls peeling but I guess that’s the beauty of the place.I will patron again if ever I visit Ipoh. For their coffee only.

yeah it's definitely not worth the hypeit's always crowded in the morning and the service is not exactly the fastest. the drinks stall will also take bread, eggs & caramel pudding order. Better to order everything in one go instead of waiting for them to come around again (because it's virtually impossible to flag them down after they've served your table).White coffee is terrible. Baaaaddd. I'm not sure if it's representative of Ipoh white coffee (sorry Ipoh peeps) but I truly am traumatized by that cuppa. Overly sour and has rancid, oily notes.Eggs were dirty (shells weren't washed) and took awhile. Toast was average at best, it was super thin but not crunchy enough. Butter & kaya was still okay, the portions in the bread were almosh enough. We tried butter kaya toast at another place and preferred to have a thick slab of butter and generous slathering of kaya, so this place was quite a let down.Wantan noodles still ok. Charsiew is nice for people who like thick, smoky (almost burnt) charsiew. Noodles a little too soft for my liking.

Love the coffee, eggs on toasts, and egg toasts sets. Owners are very friendly and they explain the differences on their offering.. See the pictures.

This traditional food spot is a gem! The chee cheong fun was silky smooth, perfectly paired with flavorful sauce. The toast and egg combo was simple yet satisfying, offering a comforting start to the day. The highlight, though, was the amazing coffee: rich & aromatic!Highly recommended!
