Forget your fancy cafes and overpriced lattes, folks! Let’s head to Cheras, where the real magic happens at Ebony & Ivory Coffee, a neighborhood gem where comfort food gets a gourmet upgrade and coffee hits like a warm hug.
Step inside and inhale the aroma of freshly brewed happiness. Exposed brick walls and vintage furniture create a vibe that’s both trendy and nostalgic, like your grandma’s kitchen got a modern makeover.
But the real star of the show is the food, oh the food! Their minced pork scrambled egg rice bowl is legendary – fluffy eggs dancing with tender pork atop perfectly seasoned rice, it’s a symphony of textures and flavors that’ll have you begging for more.
Need something lighter? Dive into their creamy tomato pasta with grilled chicken, a tangy love letter to Italian comfort. And for the sweet tooths out there, their homemade brownies are pure, gooey decadence in every bite.
But Ebony & Ivory isn’t just about stuffing your face (although that’s totally encouraged). Their coffee is a serious contender, too. They brew up a storm of bold lattes, aromatic black coffees, and even cold brew and iced latte options for those scorching KL days.
The best part? The vibe. The staff are like your new best friends, always welcoming you with a smile. Whether you’re catching up with your crew, working remotely, or just hiding from the world with a good book and a latte, Ebony & Ivory feels like home.
So, ditch the boring chains and head to Ebony & Ivory! It’s a taste of Cheras soul, a caffeine haven, and a place where comfort food gets a standing ovation. Trust me, your belly (and your Instagram) will thank you.

in the last weekEbony & Ivory (Cheras) - My Forever Favourite Cafe Escape! ☕🍰💖Ebony & Ivory in Cheras isn't just a cafe; it's a sanctuary, a place I find myself drawn back to time and time again, and for incredibly good reason! This isn't just about great coffee, fantastic food, and a wonderful vibe – it's the consistently warm and welcoming team that truly makes this cafe so special. Even as someone who runs my own cafe, I hold immense admiration for Ebony & Ivory's business and their exceptional team. There's a magic here that makes every visit a genuine pleasure. You can taste the passion in every single dish and every perfectly brewed cup of coffee. It's evident that everything is made with love and a true dedication to quality. And now, they've expanded! Their new space at the far end is even more comfortable and inviting, creating the perfect setting for long, leisurely chats with great friends. It's an extension of the already wonderful atmosphere, offering even more room to relax and enjoy. Do watch up on their social media, they occasionally holds special pop ups now at this new space. One of the things that sets Ebony & Ivory apart is their commitment to freshness. They make their own delectable pastries and cakes, and you can absolutely taste the difference! My personal favourites are their incredibly refreshing watermelon cake, their rich and decadent tiramisu, and their wonderfully moreish cookies. They are simply divine!Honestly, I can wholeheartedly say that I love every single food item on their menu. Over the years, I've almost tried it all, and each dish is consistently delicious and satisfying. Ebony & Ivory isn't just a cafe; it's an experience. It's a place where you feel genuinely welcomed, where the food and drinks are crafted with care, and where the atmosphere is always just right. If you're looking for a cafe in Cheras that you'll fall in love with and want to return to again and again, look no further than Ebony & Ivory. 3 weeks agoI heard a lot about this place, last time was only for the coffee. Coffee was not bad. But today finally got a chance to try out the food, food was not what I expected since many people recommended I have little expectations. Ordered the weekend special, pork belly toast, the pork belly has the unpleasant porky taste to it. I think the meat quality is not good or they didn’t handle it properly, sauce and dressing look & taste like store bought to me. Shout out for the eggs was nicely done. Coffee is good. Very hard to find parking is this area.

2 months agoLocated under an old apartment, this cafe brings new life to the neighborhood. Is a small cafe with limited seats available so queue time will be long during peak hours like breakfast / lunch hour. The foods and coffee are great. The foods are mainly fusion of Japanese and Chinese or Western and Chinese.I love the coffee there where you can actually taste the taste notes of the selected coffee beans and some of the speciality coffee drinks like plum coffee which is a good twist added to an americano.

3 months agoI’ve heard a lot about this cafe from different friends over the years, and I finally got the chance to visit it recently. The cakes and pastries are not only visually appealing but also genuinely delicious. The dishes, such as rice bowls and pastas, were homey and decent. The service is consistently friendly.I especially loved the lychee raspberry cake, which I found more enjoyable than the watermelon one. The pastries, which are only available on weekends, are excellent too.Overall, the desserts cater to many’s tastes, as they strike a nice balance of being “not-too-sweet” while maintaining great flavor. The only downside is the parking, it's quite challenging, so you might need to park a little farther away and walk over.

2 months agoFood was very nice but as usual, there was a 20-30 min wait because it was lunch hour & the place was packed. Food portions were reasonably decent. We didn’t stay for dessert because there were many people waiting to be seated. Will return for their cakes soon
