2 weeks agoCame to celebrate a friend's birthday. Tried the 3 course meals:1) Baguette and Brioche with truffle cream cheese: The pastry with the cream cheese spread taste good. We even requested a second serving on the pastry.2) Unagi and Foie Gras with red wine sauce: The unagi is adequately seasoned and very soft. However, i think the unagi no tare is too strong to overpower the mild taste of the red wine sauce. The portion of the Foie Gras is generous for the appetiser but maybe slightly oily. The beet roots puree at the side is a plus.3) Wagyu beef tenderloin with bone marrow: This main dish is disappointment. The good thing is the beef is tender and cooked to perfection. However, the beef is severely under seasoned and the sauce taste too mild. The only food that taste good for the main dish is the mash potatoes at the side.4) Dessert - Mystere: I can only taste sweet. Nothing else.Overall, the course meal started strong but ended on a disappointing note.Nevertheless, I would like to commend the waiter for very welcoming and good customer service.

6 months agoBelow average, Meh…, Won’t come back! Not that I did not have a great time here, but it’s definitely not a fine dining setting or environment. The whole time I was dining, I was raving about Entier French dining in my head compared to this place. Please save your money equally to there. The only thing that was good was the bavette.. good medium rare… the entree & desert…? Can do wayyyyyy much better… I mean?? Come on… egg yolk on trout tar tar??? What am I? 5 years old? Pavlova/meringue for dessert? I can go to a cafe for that…Chef, you can do better.. there was no life in your food.

10 months agoService is excellence. Appreciated the passion and friendliness.Atmosphere is good even though located at 3 star hotel. I know some hidden gems do the same.Food is average, can be better. Ingredients is there but the taste is not favorable or memorable kind. No element of surprise. But it's depends on your own taste.

a year agoI have dined here several times but never had their Set Lunch Menu, rm150nett - 3 Course Set.I particularly liked the flexibility in this menu, i choose 2 from Entrees + 1 Main.I enjoyed my Pasta Mains - Wild Caught Prawns & the Onion Soup. The escargots, i felt wasn’t flavourful enough. My friends enjoyed their selection too.We didn’t select the Room but it was the same room when one of my friend’s celebrated her 50th Birthday. And, today we were same group of friends in the same room - what a coincident.

a year agoOne of the longest lasting fine dining establishments, heard great stuffs about it. Came for wife's bday dinner. Have to say, wasn't thoroughly impressed with the food. Taste for everything seems to be on the milder side. Started great with the sea urchin but everything after was just so so. Service was good. Opted for the seasonal menu, may give give them another try in the future.
