Visited THIRTY8 recently and the view is undeniably the highlight — located on the 38th floor, it offers a stunning, panoramic look at KLCC and the city skyline. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to impress a guest or just enjoy a scenic meal above Kuala Lumpur. As for the food, it’s decent — nicely presented and reasonably tasty, though not particularly memorable. The menu has a good mix of options, but don’t go in expecting anything groundbreaking. What fell short for me was the service. The staff were polite, but response time was quite slow. It took longer than expected to get their attention for basic requests, and the overall pace lacked attentiveness you’d expect at this kind of venue.Overall: Come for the view, be prepared for average food and slow service. It’s a place that shines more for its atmosphere than its hospitality.

We celebrated Father’s Day at THIRTY8 this year, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. It set the perfect tone for a memorable afternoon. The brunch spread was absolutely wonderful, a true feast that catered to every palate. From fresh seafood on ice to juicy roasts, sushi, and an impressive selection of local and international dishes, every station was thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. The live stations added a special touch, allowing us to enjoy freshly prepared delicacies just the way we liked them. What really stood out was the attention to detail, both in the food and the service. The dessert selection was divine, with everything from rich chocolate creations to delicate pastries and tropical fruits, perfect for ending the meal on a sweet note. My dad felt incredibly special, and we all left with happy hearts and full stomachs. THIRTY8 truly delivered an elevated brunch experience that made this Father’s Day celebration unforgettable. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in style!

THIRTY8 Restaurant, Bar & Lounge is located on the 38th floor of the Grand Hyatt in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is famous for its 360° panoramic night view and miniature city scenery on the high floors. It combines exquisite cuisine, live show kitchen and elegant bar. Whether it is a romantic date or a business dinner, it has a unique atmosphere and is often regarded as one of the most representative high-altitude restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. • Breakfast/brunch buffet starts at 6:30 in the morning • Three layers of dim sum with drinks during afternoon tea

Went for birthday dinner. Service was good, views excellent, but food was a disappointment. Our kid's spagetti was tasteless, even our hungry kid who would eat anything won't touch it. Thankfully they change another dish for us. Next, the lobster bisque was super salty but was better after changing for us. The other food, steak etc didn't have the wow factor to commensurate with the price. The best "dish" was the signature cake. Our first visit here, likely won't return unless for the views and dessert/sweet stuff.

High-tea with my girls at THIRTY8. Nice ambience overlooking KL and the twin towers. Staff were hospitable and welcoming. We had a lovely time over the beautiful spread. Was a bummer we not allowed to be seated at the window view as we the tables were limited to groups of 2 or 4s. Better make your reservations and ask for window seat!
